The Opportunity MinRes is seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our Yilgarn operations on an 8x6 roster. Reporting through to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for working across a very dynamic portfolio which includes multiple open pits and cutbacks, ensuring compliance and optimization of the production process. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem solving skills and a commitment to health and safety. Routine operational reports will be required including but not limited to; daily, weekly, monthly, mine reconciliation reports. Prepare 24-hour mining plans and deliver the plan to all stakeholders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by prioritising daily/weekly tasks to ensure operational targets are achieved. Produce drill and blast designs that align with operational targets and costs. Provide mine design information, guidance and support to the execution team Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety among team members. What is required? Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field Minimum 2-3 years post-graduate experience in mining open pit operation, with a strong understanding of mining principles and techniques. Proficiency in mining software and tools such as Alastri and Surpac (highly desirable) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. About The Yilgarn Hub The Yilgarn Hub is located within the Goldfields region of Western Australia. It includes four of Mineral Resources's iron ore sites, Koolyanobbing, Windarling, Parker Range and Carina. Product from the hub ships to the Port of Esperance and the Kwinana Bulk Terminal, South of Perth.
