About the OPPORTUNITY We have a great opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Hunter Class Frigate Line of Business based in Osborne, SA or Melbourne, Vic. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working. We are also able to offer part-time flexibility for this role. In this role you will work in the capacity of Project Engineer with relevant engineering stakeholders both in Australia and the UK in the development of progress and metric reporting covering: Zone Transition Reviews, Modification Packages and Zonal Closure Reviews In this role you will: Utilise data analysis techniques to interpret engineering data and make informed decisions and reporting metrics Effectively communicate, both verbally and by email on project status, issues and risks to various management stakeholders across HCFP Identify project issues and challenges and use logical solutions to ensure project success. Coordinate project engineering activities, schedules and progress against scope to ensure adherence to timelines, task closure and meeting project requirements. Provide help, guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and achieving collective goals. About YOU Graduate degree or experience in the operation in a Defence or related technical industry Knowledge of naval ship systems across one or more of the following: auxiliary systems, electrical, structures, heating / ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC), outfit, Combat Systems and / or aviation An understanding of quality management principles / fundamentals of the naval ship zonal process through the project lifecycle Experienced in analysing potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions Strong Stakeholder engagement experience Strong communication skills NV1 clearance or eligibility required We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidate hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
