Our Values: Care Courage Commitment Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally. Reporting to the Functional Manager, you will join a collective team based across Perth & Brisbane that support our clients and projects from studies to detailed engineering and EPCM delivery. In this role you this role will see you join a dedicated project team, working on Australia's leading greenfield gold development situated in the heart of Australia's mining sector. With detailed design underway, this project will continue to see Australia lead in mining of precious metals. A project that offers scale, complexity and advanced process methodologies to meet orebody/locality challenges every day will offer you variety in your work whilst being a part of a industry Teir 1 mining project In addition, this role will undertake the following duties: Detailed layout, design and production of drawings encompassing all aspects of a plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements Inter-discipline liaison, support and timely transfer of information Timely completion of drawings and schedules Review and processing of vendor data and drawings Adherence to Wood Standards and Procedures Assist in checking of study and project drawings Miscellaneous drafting and site tasks, as directed About You As a structural designer, you will have built your career within the resources sector, with experience in the design of mineral processing facilities, ideally from concept through to detailed engineering. Your passion and exposure to large scale projects will have seen you work in a multi-disciplinary environment, building relations with wide range of stakeholders. In addition you have: Relative Qualification in structural/ civil design within the resource sector, Well-developed computer skills with a good knowledge of at least one CAD system (preferably MicroStation or AutoCAD) as well as a working knowledge of relational databases and spreadsheets Good understanding of mineral resource technology as well as civil/structural technology Possess teamwork skills as well as an understanding of other discipline requirements and expectations Proficient checking skills with ability to work unsupervised, focus on task completion, initiative Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs.
