About our Team As a Customer Service Attendant (Relief) you will play an integral role in providing world-class customer service onboard our long-distance train services. As this role is based in Bundaberg, you will primarily work on board our Rockhampton Tilt Train (Bundaberg to Rockhampton) or our Bundaberg Tilt Train (Bundaberg to Brisbane) services where you can expect to be away for up to 4 days at any given time. Your direct line manager will be the Operation Coordinator Wide Bay however whilst on board the train you will be directed by the Passenger Services Supervisor or the Passenger Services Coordinator. When on board the train you will work with a team of up to 7 people on our Rockhampton Tilt Train or up to 4 people on our Bundaberg Tilt Train which will consist of other Customer Service Attendants and Passenger Attendants. Role / Hours: The Customer Service Attendant (Relief) position is a permanent full-time opportunity however it is not on a liked roster. This means that you can expect to find out your roster 1 week in advance so flexibility with hours is key in this role. If you are not rostered to work on board the train you will assist with Station Assistant duties (customer service and complete general cleaning duties) at the Bundaberg train station. You will be required to work a variety of days and nights which will include weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts on a rotating roster. What Queensland Rail has to offer: • An annual salary of $64,500 12.75% super. However, after including applicable allowances (travel, away from home, meals, weekend and public holiday work), Customer Service Attendant (Relief) can earn up to approximately $80,000 12.75% super • Opportunity to explore the beauty of regional Queensland or Brisbane on your lay over • Work within a supportive team environment with potential for career progression • Employee Assistance Program providing employees with holistic and contemporary health and well-being programs • Two weeks of paid training upon commencement which will be split between Brisbane and Rockhampton with additional on the job training and support provide About the role: • Create a memorable onboard customer experience • Food and beverage service including in the galley and trolley service – this includes ensuring that food hygiene practices are met and taking payments • Manage the storage and preparation of food and beverage items • Assist with general cleaning duties and handling of customer luggage • Ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers by reporting any operational issues • Assist the Passenger Services Supervisor or Passenger Services Coordinator with any assistance required For full position responsibilities please read this Position Description. In addition to this you will have: • Previous experience providing face to face customer service.
