Senior Graphic Designer - Contract — Surry Hills, Sydney

Are you a Senior-level Designer looking to jump into your next contract adventure? Are you able to wear many hats and solve design problems as they arise? Do you have experience designing within retail design or other eCommerce platforms? Our client is a fast-growing, family-owned and operated online retail business. They are based in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and have an onsite manufacturing production facility and dispatch operation. Reporting to the Head of Content & Brand, the role of Graphic Designer will principally be responsible for producing compelling and creative graphic solutions primarily for digital platforms in line with their overarching brand vision. With a strong creative instinct and keen eye for detail, the Graphic Designer will continually elevate this Ecommerce brand’s visual communications with quality designs that resonate with the retail customer. Core responsibilities: Create effective visual communications – Design and produce high-quality retail-focused visual content for digital campaigns and some traditional marketing channels, including print, in a fast-paced environment. Assets will include EDMs, web banners, digital ads, social media, website design, product packaging, user manuals and internal collateral. Edit images – Retouch, re-colour, and edit product images as needed. Conceptualise and collaborate – Create concepts and mood boards and actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming workshops to generate creative ideas and plan future projects. User experience design – Utilise tools such as Figma to design landing pages and new website sections, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly online experience. Brand consistency – Adhere to brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all brand collateral and marketing materials. Image management – Edit, update and organise product imagery to maintain their digital asset library. Supplier liaison – Communicate with printers and suppliers as required to coordinate and oversee the production of physical marketing materials such as product packaging and user manuals. Research design trends – Keep up to date with graphic design trends, innovations and emerging technologies to continually enhance design quality. You will bring: 5-8 years experience in graphic design Proven skills in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) Highly experienced in producing digital assets Highly skilled at re-touching and image editing Able to work autonomously as well as with a team Experience in web design Previous e-commerce design experience advantageous Experience developing assets for print production Strong attention to detail Passion for best practice layout and typography Has the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and manage projects independently Has excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills Passionate about nature and/or gardening with a good sense of humour is a plus Has Australian permanent residency or citizenship (for potential ongoing work) Does this sound like your next creative adventure?
