The administration Officer will work for the OPEN Service in a multidisciplinary team consisting of Medical, Nursing and administrative staff. The OPEN service works in conjunction with QAS, Emergency Departments and local RADAR services to provide emergency equivalent outreach care to residents living in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF's) and residents living in independent living units in the Metro North catchment. The role will provide confidential and professional administration support to the OPEN Service in the coordination of residential aged care enquiries from treating Consultants, Nurses, Allied Health, General Practitioners and primary care providers for the optimisation of patient care needs and service provision. About you This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Provide professional and courteous telephone and written communication to a wide variety of core stakeholders (patients, General Practitioners (GP), Doctors, administration and nursing staff). Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus. Using clinical computer systems to record all demographic and patient details (e.g. integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR), HBCIS) ensuring high quality data is maintained.
