The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project's twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals - the entrances and exits to the tunnels - at the stabling facility. About the Opportunity: Join our sustainability team as we deliver a city shaping project - we're building the infrastructure that will enable a more sustainable way to live, move and work in Melbourne. Our project is delivering tunnels constructed with 100% renewable electricity. As our project progresses and grows we're looking for an advisor level candidate experienced in delivering sustainability in procurement and construction stages of infrastructure projects. Applicants with construction experience interested in transitioning into a sustainability role are encouraged. As the Sustainability Advisor you will: You will: Be able to self-motivate, be organised and manage competing priorities. Communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders including construction managers and subcontractors. Collaborate across project functions including construction, procurement, environment and social teams. Influence, negotiate and manage stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes on projects. Be eager to embrace and implement improved technologies to make construction more sustainable Critically think to identify key opportunities and risks Have a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Sustainable Systems, Environmental Science or similar. Be adaptable to manage a constantly changing workplace as we deliver complex infrastructure projects. Desirable expertise: Experience in delivering sustainability rating tools such as Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings. Other desirable expertise includes: Procurement and commercial experience in managing budgets and forecasts Resource forecasting and management Construction experience including the management of discreet packages of work We support diversity in the workplace.
