The Company Our client is an independent, family-owned company based in Broadmeadows, with offices and distribution centres nationwide. They are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service/Sales Support professional to join their team. About the Position Manage inbound and outbound call traffic to all customers and provide a level of service that is "best practice". Provide customers with responses to queries in a timely fashion and proactively seek out opportunities to contact customers and add value to their business which will support the company sales force. Provide support to their team as well as the Sales Support Leader. Provide service to customers by responding to inquiries accurately and in a timely fashion as well as driving sales through Cycle Objectives, Deletions and Clearance opportunities and proactive Telecalls. Provides administrative services to support the company sales force. Duties and Responsibilities Receiving incoming customer phone calls and managing email correspondence. Order taking - including keying in orders. Preparing customer quotes. Liaising with Business Development Managers. Contact customers in relation to order status and supply situation. Arrange for proof of deliveries in conjunction with warehouse / distribution and contracting staff. Proactively call customers and inform them of backorder and substitution information daily. General office duties. Skills & Experience Proven Customer Service and Sales Expertise: Demonstrated experience in effectively managing inbound calls and inquiries within the building and construction sector, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales growth. Efficient Order Processing: Skilled in processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, coordinating product distribution, and ensuring timely delivery to clients. Versatile Administrative Skills: Ability to handle a wide range of administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and demands. Proficient in MS Office: Confident in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to streamline operations, manage data, and communicate effectively with team members and clients. Keen Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing and verifying information to maintain accuracy in all tasks and documentation, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. Strong Team Player: Collaborative and supportive team member, fostering positive working relationships and contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment through effective communication and cooperation Benefits Permanent full-time position with highly respected family-owned business.
