System Design Engineer — Perth CBD, Perth

Lead the design and specification of a system for the project, together with the team, to analyze the input needs. Formalize and maintain the system specifications, application rules, and supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments. Key Responsibilities Applies processes, methods and tools as referenced by the project plans. In collaboration with the System Architect and under the control of Project Engineering, contributes to the system design and specification according to the development strategy established in the System Engineering Management Plan the system design Analyzes, clarifies and confirms input requirements and needs Performs conceptual design by preparing system models, design studies, design rationales, design principles, real time analysis, modelling & mock-ups, etc. for technical de-risking and optimization Solves Interfaces Partners with and provides technical support to RAM, safety, cybersecurity, sub-system, software, hardware and V&V teams to develop design concepts and definitions Calls, conducts and participates to technical reviews to analyze technical issues, including consultation to end-users, experts and core competency networks according to specific needs and domains competencies relevance System specification Elaborates formal modelling and requirements writing according to design standard and guidelines Formalizes and maintains the system specification according to applicable templates content Ensures traceability through-out the formal documentation, up to the input needs (input specifications, CR) Ensures verifications of system specifications Puts work products under configuration management Prepares the project documents in charge of. Sustains the system according to Change Requests Keeps informed of the evolution of technologies through technological watch contributes to continuous improvement Contributes to workload estimations for the deliverables within scope Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct. Qualifications & Skills: Experience in Railway Signaling System. Engineering Graduate in Computers, Software, Electrical, Electronic, Automation or Telecommunication Engineering.
