As a Principal Experience Designer, you are a highly experienced role reporting directly to a Territory Design Lead. Your work is both strategic as well as hands-on design work, with a focus on informing and supporting our strategy and roadmap. Your will support the team with design direction to balance delivering at speed with high-quality experiences. You will be responsible for actively developing and mentoring other designers to support growth opportunities. As well as contributing to the overall program strategy and driving improvements in the ways of working. The role responsibilities include but are not limited to: You will inspire and enable your team, sharing strategic design and leadership knowledge to support growth and development opportunities for the team. Work closely with the Territory Experience Design Lead to support strategic value streams across the program and demonstrate the value of design decisions Provide design direction and mentorship to individuals to help the team balance delivering at speed with high-quality experiences. Partner with other leads across product, engineering and business teams to help influence platform strategy supporting customer and business outcomes. Help to define success metrics with business teams to drive continuous improvement and development of our products and services. Build relationships across value streams with other leads to help facilitate cross-team collaboration within delivery teams and squads. Lead discovery research to inform conceptual direction and help shape opportunities for prioritisation. Lead research operations including recruitment, facilitating testing sessions and actively contribute to analysis and synthesis. Drive engagement with the design systems team to enable other designers to effectively leverage the component libraries and improve workflows for continuous improvement. Influence and shape the way our team work across the end-to-end experience design and product development process. Take an active role engaging and sharing knowledge within the design community and other business partners. What's in it for me? Minimum of 8 years experience in the digital product design field Experience working autonomously and leading independent strategic initiatives Extensive experience working collaboratively with multiple senior stakeholders Strong emotional intelligence is necessary with an ability to listen, be curious and empathise with an ability to influence.
