Your role involves tasks such as data entry, maintaining documentation, managing records, and handling general administrative duties. Additionally, you will manage reception duties and assist Hearings Coordinators with hearing-related tasks, as well as support the Corporate Services team with financial, HR, and related matters. There may also be opportunities to provide executive support services as needed. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Experience in administrative support, including managing confidential files, electronic systems, office equipment, and reception tasks. Ability to work independently, ensuring precise, timely, and top-notch administrative services with minimal supervision. Strong personal management skills showcased through effective workload prioritization to achieve organizational goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities demonstrated in engaging with diverse community members, adept at consultation, negotiation, and problem-solving. The Mental Health Review Tribunal (the Tribunal) operates as an autonomous decision-making entity as mandated by the Mental Health Act 2016. Its core function is to evaluate the involuntary status of individuals with mental illnesses and/or intellectual disabilities. This includes scrutinizing treatment authorities, forensic orders, treatment support orders, assessing fitness for trial, and overseeing the detention of minors in high-security units. Additionally, the Tribunal handles applications for examination authorities, requests for regulated treatments, approvals for patient transfers to and from Queensland, and a select number of appeals.
