About the Role Join this dynamic team as a part-time Trust Accountant, where meticulous record-keeping meets compliance expertise. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our real estate sales trust account, all while adhering to industry regulations and company standards. Duties Be part of the financial team as their Trust Accountant, working alongside the Finance Manager, you must meticulous record-keeping and compliance in real estate sales trust management. Duties will include: Administer and oversee the real estate sales trust account, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and full compliance with trust account regulations. Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements, adhering strictly to company procedures and legislative requirements. Execute and document financial transactions with accuracy, including the processing of journal entries. Prepare and execute fortnightly payroll for both salaried staff and commission-based agents, in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Real Estate Industry Award 2020. Assist in the management of agents' Debit Credit ledgers, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Skills & Experience Your positive attitude and forward-thinking approach will be nurtured in our vibrant, friendly, and fun work environment, collaborating with our Finance Manager, marketing, sales support staff, and agents. While the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations is essential, a degree in accounting or a related field, proficiency in Xero, and experience in the Real Estate industry are preferred qualifications. Knowledge of real estate CRM software such as Agent Box and HR and payroll platforms like Employment Hero are desirable but not essential, as is familiarity with the Real Estate Industry Award 2020.
