WORKSHOP ELECTRICIAN Cardiff, Newcastle Full time Rates- $42.60- $44.73 4 day week Our client widely regarded as one of the leading Electrical & Mechanical Products Manufacturer across their range of products and services with operations in Newcastle & Perth. The role of Electrician is to provide Electrical Integration and wiring of our client's Electrical products including Enclosures and Lighting for industry. This role requires technical services based around wiring, assembly, installation, testing, and documentation control. All work is in accordance with our client's quality standards, relevant codes, and Australian & International standards. The main objectives of the role as an Electrician are: To ensure that all projects are completed in a timely, cost-effective, and professional manner. To ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable Australian Standards, Supply Authority Regulation and customer specifications and quality expectations. Our client's responsibilities and opportunities: Interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings. Electrical Panel layout. Mounting electrical equipment. Electrical termination. Busbar manufacture. Power cabling and control wiring. PLC and Instrumentation wiring. Lighting product assembly. 4-day working week Monday Thursday 10-hour days. Quality Assurance including but not limited to: Testing completed products. Inspecting completed products to ensure quality and design requirements are achieved prior to delivery. Workmanship completed to Australian Standards. Completion of ITPs and other project documentation during all stages of project manufacture . Essential - Skills, Qualifications, Attributes and Experience: NSW Electrical trades qualification. Minimum 3 years workshop experience. Experience in electrical panels and lighting products manufacture in a workshop environment. A commitment to WHS&E and Quality management systems. High attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills and active listening skills. The ability to manage competing priorities. The ability to work unsupervised when required. Experience in establishing and maintaining consistent performance standards with regards to operational procedures and support of safe, efficient, and respectful work practices. Desirable - Skills, Qualifications, Attributes and Experience: High Risk License Light Forklift (LF) IECEx Certification. Experience with Busbar manufacturing. Proficient knowledge of Australian Electrical Manufacturing Standards.
