We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our respected and high performing Retail Finance team in the capacity of a Retail Assistant Accountant in our Inner Melbourne office. Reporting to the General Manager Finance - Retail, this role supports the Retail Finance team in the delivery of month end, budgets and projections and maintaining high levels of financial governance across the business. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Preparation of month-end journals across areas such as accruals and Store expenses Preparation of monthly reconciliations Assist with budgeting and forecasting Preparation and review of store and cost centre trackers Purchases order and Invoice reconciliation Continuously improve procedures, systems and activities to help drive efficiency improvements across the team About You To be considered for this role you will have: Tertiary education in Accounting or 1-2 years' experience in a similar role Retail experience an advantage but not essential A strong practical knowledge of accounting systems, including Excel and experience with the FMCG / Retail sector is an advantage Great communication skills Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and continually looks for opportunities to improve and grow Perks Generous discount to be used across all of our 7 brands, and access to our sample sales across all brands Development opportunities to support your ongoing growth and development Experience working for an international company with 7 iconic Australian brands Above all, we are looking for someone who is keen to learn with an engaged and collaborative retail finance team.
