As a result of our continued growth after securing the Hexham Straight Widening project, we are seeking an Site Engineer (Structure) to join our project team and make a valuable contribution to this major infrastructure upgrade in the Hunter region. Aside from being a part of a $2.1 billion development, The six-kilometer upgrade of the Pacific Highway near Newcastle will involve widening each carriageway from 2 lanes to 3, as well as constructing two new 5-span plank bridges over Ironbark Creek, adjacent to the Hunter River. Reporting to our Project Engineers, you will be trusted to: Prepare and coordinate minor construction schedules/work programs (i.e. resource levels, monitor productivity and general project planning) Monitor, review and undertake daily cost control tasks to ensure project targets are optimised Working closely with senior engineers and Supervisors to procure and manage on-site subcontractor and service suppliers Provide on-site technical support and ensure construction activities are delivered and documented to high quality standards and in accordance to relevant specifications Understand associated risks and ensure our HSEQ objectives are set and adhered to contribute to an exemplary safety culture What you're good at: Aside from having relevant engineering tertiary qualifications, you should be able to demonstrate similar experience in the delivery of major TfNSW infrastructure projects To thrive in our team environment, you should be a dynamic and confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams/contractors and driven in your approach to delivering high-quality project sections/tasks on time, on budget, safely and to the high standards Your application will be prioritised (although not mandatory) if you are able to demonstrate: Knowledge of RMS/TfNSW Road specs Experience working in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 or principal contractor's environment Our engineering teams are innovative, always ready for a laugh and willing to go out of their way to help each other and roll up their sleeves to drive positive project outcomes.
