We are hiring casual Disability Workers to support our clients houses around QLD, specifically in regional suburbs such as: Townsville Cairns Mackay Toowoomba About the Role The role of a Disability Support Worker is to support clients with disabilities, focusing on skill development and enriching their lives through engaging, creative activities. Additionally, this role may involve providing in-home support for clients. As an integral part of our team, you'll be encouraged to utilise your passion and skills to support our clients to grow, develop, heal and feel empowered. About You: Willingness to travel both locally and interstate (with accommodation costs covered) Flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays Confident in engaging with clients effectively, building positive relationships, and supporting their unique needs. Resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. Experience with high-needs Disability clients and previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, supporting participants across ages from youth to elderly Genuine desire to support people with additional needs using a person-centered approach Essential Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) Employee Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Hope and Healing Certificate Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car) A nationally recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) What Connecting Families Offers You: Ongoing professional development opportunities Flexible work arrangements to accommodate diverse needs and schedules A supportive team environment where every member is valued, respected and encouraged to thrive Opportunity to travel interstate for shifts Casual hourly rate according to the SCHADS award (Level 3 - pay point 2 under Home care employee casual) penalties How to Apply: All applications must be submitted online.
