Site Engineer — Ormeau, Gold Coast North

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. Our client is a leading construction company specializing in bulk earthworks and civil works projects across Queensland. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work. The Site Engineer will play a key role in overseeing bulk earthworks and civil works projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on earthworks, and will possess excellent leadership and project management skills. What will you be doing? Assist the Project Manager in the planning and implementation of multiple civil projects Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety & ensure procedures are always implemented. Resolve technical issues on site. Overseeing the construction activities on site & supervise specialist sub-contractors Completing Quality Assurance - ITP's, method statements, etc. Maintain daily site records. Report to Senior management on projects progress Timely procurement of materials to specifications and drawings to suit construction program. Track production to assist in project forecasting and monitoring. Identify and notify PM of any variation to contract. Ensure that project tasks allocated to you are executed effectively, on time, within budget and in accordance with contract specifications, Australian Standards and Industry guidelines and practices. Contribute and present at pre-starts, toolbox meetings and encourage participation. Maintain project files and registers, on time reporting, issue and verification of dockets and invoices. Ensure that completed timesheets and supporting documentation are submitted to payroll, 9.00am every Monday. Ideal Background Intermediate level of employment experience in civil engineering preferably: pipe laying, bulk earthworks, water management, concrete structures. Sound exposure/experience to work health and safety Sound Contract Management Skills including: interpretation and administration of AS2124 AS4000 series. Experience in or the ability to manage Projects in excess of $10M. Cost control systems, budget preparation and forecasting. Demonstrated history as a Site Engineer Outstanding verbal and written communication skill Driven and enthusiastic with a positive, hands-on attitude to project deliver Self-starter with the ability to determine own priorities and manage work accordingly Bachelor level degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering (essential) Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
