As an Engineering Manager at Mathspace, you will lead a team of 12 software engineers across three functional groups. You will manage, mentor, and strategically grow our team to enhance our web and mobile applications. You will play a critical role in shaping our future, driving the recruitment and onboarding of new talent, and ensuring our engineering practices foster innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Enrich the Mathspace web and mobile apps that help teach hundreds of thousands of students every month. Provide direct management to engineers, facilitating feedback, and conducting one-on-ones. Oversee performance management, and provide mentorship for professional development. Tackle challenging problems creatively and encourage continuous learning within the team. Play an active role in all aspects of our agile development process. Requirements Strong software engineering background with experience managing engineering teams. Industry experience in developing web products using Python, Django, TypeScript and React. Effective communication skills and a collaborative leadership style. Passionate about education and technology, ideally with experience in a startup environment.
