Queensland Rail's SEQ Facilities team have exciting fixed term Queensland Rail employment contracts to March 2026 for Electrician’s to work in various Queensland Rail locations across Brisbane. As an Electrician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to Queensland Rails Facilities and Heritage assets (houses, depots, stations, equipment rooms). In addition, there is opportunity for career advancement through approved technical training in the electrical discipline. As a Facilities Electrician, you will predominantly be working on the northside or southside of Brisbane. Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include: Regular installation, maintenance and repairing of electrical tasks – create and complete accurate notifications and records using our EAMS application Ensure that work carried out is in accordance with the relevant industry standards and regulations Supervise our supporting work contractors, support other areas such as facilities trades in the delivery of multi trade works Proactively develop skills and knowledge required for the rail environment and associated with trade qualifications through on-the-job training courses Travel to different work locations working alone or as part of a team For further details please click here to view the Position Description Hours and Salary: Working in this team on the current roster a Facilities Electrician earns roughly between $105,000 - $145,000 plus Superannuation. This includes the allowances, penalty rates for call-outs and weekend work. Overtime is also available.
