More About the Role at Fresh Clinics About the Job We are seeking a smart, humble Mid to senior level Product Designer who is ready to take on the challenge of a significant UI overhaul on our existing web and mobile platform. This role provides an excellent opportunity to leave a distinct mark on our products by modernising and strengthening the visual design, improving user experience, and developing a comprehensive design system. Our ideal candidate will love teamwork as they will be building outstanding experiences alongside their direct team of 3 Product Managers, 30 Developers and the Senior Team and adjacent departments. Role Description In this role you will have the following key responsibilities: - Platform UI Refresh: You will be primarily responsible for a complete overhaul of our platform’s user interface, bringing a modern and engaging touch to our web and mobile applications. - Design System Creation: Your role will involve the development of a comprehensive design system. This includes creating reusable components and maintaining style guides that ensure consistency across all our products. - Developer Handoff: You will work closely with our engineering team, providing them with detailed, clear design specifications and guidance for seamless implementation. - New Feature and Product Development: Your creativity and design expertise will be critical in the conceptualisation and development of new features and products, all while ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. - User Research Activities: You will conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights that will inform our design decisions, validate design concepts, and enhance the overall user experience. What we are looking for - Experience: You have a solid background in product design, ideally 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong emphasis on web applications and mobile experiences. You have a successful record of delivering end-to-end product designs from ideation to production. - Portfolio: Your portfolio stands as proof of your innovative approach to design. It should showcase your design process, problem-solving skills, and how your work positively impacts business outcomes. - User-Centred Mindset: You are passionate about user-centred design and creating memorable product experiences. You have hands-on experience conducting user research & testing activities such as customer interviews, usability testing, and making incremental improvements based on user feedback. - Technical Skills: You are proficient with design and prototyping in Figma and understand technical concepts like CSS, particularly Tailwind. - Communication & Collaboration: You are an effective communicator and a collaborative team player. You’re able to work well with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers. - Design Systems & Patterns: You understand the importance of design systems and consistency in creating scalable, user-friendly interfaces. - UX Best Practices: You have a strong understanding of UX best practices and are capable of creating intuitive interfaces that minimize user pain points and maximize user delight.
