JOIN A LEADING COMMERCIAL D&C FITOUT COMPANY IN MELBOURNE ABOUT THE CLIENT My client is a commercial and work place consultancy, specialising in strategy and design, with in house estimation, project and construction management. With offices in Melbourne, Brisbane & Sydney and clients across Australia & New Zealand completing thousands of projects. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating the creation or refurbishment of commercial spaces. The designs must meet the brief provided by the client for effective use and visual appeal. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Leading the creative of a small - midsized project under the guidance of the Design Director, pitching for the project and then leading a project through execution alongside the Project Management team Alternatively, work collaboratively with the team's Senior Designer on larger projects, supporting & contributing to the design delivery of a project as required Manage the design process ensuring designs are accurate and precise and in line with client objectives. Accountable for design integrity keeping in touch with current trends Develop designs that suit both the client and the characteristics of a building or space Manage the preparation of all design submissions and documentation Once construction commences, responsible for proactively managing and executing design changes QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Creativity, imagination, and artistic flair Ability to work on multiple projects at one time Good communication and listening skills Good colour sense and an eye for detail An aptitude for illustration and technical drawing To demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks Excellent problem-solving skills An understanding of building construction Technological and organisation skills Accuracy in site surveying & documentation Please apply via seek.
