This is a full-time permanent position, 5 days per week, Monday - Friday. The role is based on the oncology medical ward and provides opportunity for working with inpatients and teams in both streams. Us: Social Work at Northern is a valued part of a large, very supportive and integrated Allied Health team at Northern Health - a dynamic and growing health service providing care to patients from neonates through to those requiring palliative care. You: W ill provide leadership and ensure high level, evidence-based Social Work services to patients of both services . Will demonstrate flexibility in eff ectively respon ding to medical and oncology referrals. Will work closely with a part time Grade 2 Social Worker also based on this ward and the outpatient Oncology Social Worker, Allied Health colleagues and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team. To be successful is this role you will have: A positive and supportive Social Work team Regular Social Work supervision and opportunity to provide supervision to a Gr 1 Social Worker and students Opportunities to participate in Quality Activities Professional development opportunities provided within the Social Work team and the Allied Health Clinical School Working with a culturally diverse patient cohort Next Steps . . .
