Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM) The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability. The Opportunity: The Graduate Engineer will obtain Defence Industry experience to understand and apply the functions of Configuration Management, Certification Management, Logistics Engineering, and Systems Safety Engineering on the PBS. Such experience will build the Graduate Engineers corporate knowledge and subject matter expertise with a view to obtain Chartered Professional Status. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgement when conducting engineering activities. With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involved conventional types of plans, investigations, and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Learn skills in the use of Engineering applications and tools to enable delivery against engineering activities, including but not limited to, configuration tools, data analysis, modelling tools, and design tools Work both within and to the requirements of the Navy Seaworthiness Framework and an Authorised Engineering Authorisation (AEO). As the ideal candidate you will bring: Essential Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) Ability to obtain a Baseline Defence security clearance or higher Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems Desired              Experience in Defence / Maritime Environment All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
