About the role We are excited to announce that we are on the lookout for Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join our Orica Digital Solutions Orebody Intelligence division team. The Senior Mechatronics Engineer will manage the oversight and lead development of the downhole assay tool through field trials as the equipment moves from a pilot production phase to commercialisation. Responsible for support and sustaining engineering efforts through the process and documentation and material preparation. This is a full-time position, working Mondays to Fridays at our Welshpool Office. What you will be doing Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take equipment from pilot production to commercialisation phase; Conduct field trials to test and validate equipment performance under real-world conditions; Record and analyze data on equipment performance from field trials to identify areas for improvement and optimization; Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transition from pilot production to production phase; Provide technical support and expertise during the production phase; Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during field trials or production; Write and deploy necessary work instructions and procedures; Ensure OBI downhole assay performance meets & exceeds the needs of the market. What you will bring Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Mechatronics or related field; Experience with wireline logging tools and techniques; Knowledge of geophysics or petrophysics is highly desirable; Exposure to extractive industries; mining / mineral exploration preferred; Demonstrated experience in delivery across global organisations, with or without reporting line accountability.
