This school offers an alternate learning environment for Year 11/12 students who have become, or at risk of becoming, disengaged from mainstream schooling. Class sizes are lovely and small and there is a strong focus on building relationships and providing a holistic learning environment that meets the needs of each student. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a small and dedicated staff and make a meaningful difference The Role and Teaching Requirements: Year 11/12 Essential English and Social and Community Studies The successful candidate will possess the following: Formal teaching qualifications, with current Queensland Teaching Registration and experience teaching the subject area/s required; High level of honesty and integrity ; Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with others and with people at all levels; Experienced classroom management and ability to provide a safe and supportive classroom environment where each individual feels respected; A versatile and flexible teacher who can prepare and deliver effective learning programs and is understanding of the different styles of learning in their classroom; High level time management skills and attention to detail In addition to this, you will be an adaptable, positive and proactive person, who can flourish in a small community environment.
