Network Support Engineer We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Tier Network Support Engineer to join our team in Rhodes. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and will be responsible for maintaining, building, and reconfiguring our existing network infrastructure. This role also involves overseeing new site deployment projects, recommending alternative network technologies, and ensuring the resiliency and capacity of our network within operational budgets. THE ROLE: Cisco Networking: Maintain, build, and reconfigure existing Cisco sites, ensuring optimal performance of switching, routing, and wireless technologies. Exposure to Aruba switching, routing, authentication, and wireless technologies to support our network infrastructure. Exposure in Azure and AWS networking, advising on integrations as required. Propose configuration changes for new sites and projects, leveraging Palo Alto FWaaS for robust security solutions. LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN Services: Perform and/or coordinate delivery of L2/L3 support for all LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN services to allocated markets. Maintain a high level of engagement with the FAS Engineering team and Field Services, assisting them to work efficiently with LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN service delivery. Act as the first level escalation for issues in your allocated markets. Manage relevant stakeholders, particularly WAN providers (e.g., BT or other future providers). Maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, processes, and procedures. Deliver according to agreed KPIs and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and guidelines while maintaining high-performing service support functions. Recommend and plan for alternative network technologies to maintain resiliency and capacity within operational budget constraints. Manage LAN/Wi-Fi/RF/IoT devices, ensuring their optimal performance and integration into the network. Travel to remote sites when needed infrequently to assess and manage the networks and oversee any issues. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Proven experience with Cisco switching, routing, and wireless technologies. Previous knowledge of Aruba switching, routing, authentication, and wireless technologies would be highly regarded. Experience with Azure and AWS networking preferred. Familiarity with Palo Alto FWaaS and security best practices. Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend innovative network solutions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to advise and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
