We are seeking for a competent and proven Project Engineer who can demonstrate capability across varied Building disciplines (some Civil) ideally within the government and defence sector delivery environment. What will you be doing? The focus will see you responsible for the successful completion of the project technical requirements and within budget, time, WHS and quality requirements, including appropriate site supervision, administration and reporting on a 3/1 FIFO roster. With a focus on managing critical project packages on major defence base upgrades, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skillsets at a competent level with a principal contractor to be considered. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions Do you have… A degree qualified (Construction Management, Q.S, Civil Engineer or Diploma Qualified with experience across varied building packages Min 2 years demonstratable experience in construction management with reputable local contractors working on construction projects ranging in value from $5M An Australian citizen and be eligible for defense security clearance. Advanced MS Office skills The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
