The Role We are looking for 2 Permanent Part Time Support Service Workers including cleaning staff, laundry staff, and kitchen hands for (AM and PM) who are passionate about a person-centred approach to care, to join our 96-bed facility in Rockhampton. It is essential that you understand residential aged care environment and standards and have a high level of empathy and compassion for our residents. What you will do : Cleaning & Laundry Staff: Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas Cleaning communal and dining areas Cleaning and sorting laundry Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use. Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules Completing required documentation and reporting Ad hoc support to the broader team as required What you will do:Kitchen Hand: Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties Dining room services Providing excellent personalised service to our residents Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation. Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.
