Wood Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally - Australia through to Europe, Middle east Africa and Asia. Reporting to the Functional Manager of Structural, you will join a team based across Perth & Brisbane who support our clients in a range of works from studies, sustaining capital work packages to greenfield EPCM delivery. This opportunity will see you join a EPCM project team, working on one of Europe's most advance battery metal developments. As a key part of the Wood team, you will be responsible for duties such as, but not limited to: - Overseeing and leading the structural design for the project Mentoring and guiding less experienced designers Detailed layout, design and production of drawings encompassing all aspects of a plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements Inter-discipline liaison, support and timely transfer of information Timely completion of drawings and schedules Review and processing of vendor data and drawings Adherence to project man-hour budgets Adherence to Wood Standards and Procedures Assist in checking of study and project drawings Miscellaneous drafting and site tasks, as directed - Assistance with site installation and commissioning Assistance with the development of estimates This opportunity is looking for those with career in the resources sector, ideally within a design consultancy exposed to large scare EPCM projects. In addition you will also have: Experience leading a team of designers of all levels on a major project Working knowledge of relational databases and spreadsheets Broad knowledge of construction techniques and plant operations Good understanding of mineral resource technology and structural technology Experience with Process Plant design and layout Possess teamwork skills as well as an understanding of other discipline requirements and expectations Quick and accurate with methodical approach to allocated work areas Good understanding of the scope of work and project development process Proficient checking skills with ability to work unsupervised, focus on task completion, initiative Quick and accurate with methodical approach to allocated work areas Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.
