Overview: Part-time (0.6FTE), Continuing position Salary Academic Level A ($73,923 - $100,269) / Level B ($105,548 - $125,341) 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University About the Role The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Specifically, you will be responsible for carrying out teaching, and/or course coordination and convening activities (under academic supervision for Associate Lecturer), within the following RMIT Online programs: Graduate Certificate in User Experience Design, Graduate Certificate in Service Design, Graduate Certificate in Digital Product Design, and Graduate Diploma in Digital Product Design. You are expected to actively promote the programs by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities, and to maintain and advance your scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. You are also expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and to update colleagues and students on developments in your subject area or specialisation. To be successful for level A appointment, you will have: Demonstrated ability to prepare and teach programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials. Ability to undertake course coordination and convening roles under academic supervision. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning. Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links. Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding for projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
