About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Associate with experience in tools to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Store Manager, your duties and responsibilities include: Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding the tools and equipment they need. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their project requirements. Answer customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and availability. Offer guidance and advice on tool usage and maintenance. Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and suggest appropriate products. Utilize sales techniques to promote add-on items and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system. Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels on the sales floor by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise. Skills and Experience Required: Previous retail sales experience preferred, ideally in a hardware or tool shop environment. Strong knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in construction, woodworking, automotive, or DIY projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Basic math skills and proficiency in using a POS system.
