A friendly professional family in Croydon South, VIC are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible nanny to assist in the care of their baby boy (6 months old). The days and normal hours are:- 2-3 days Initially two days, then moving to three days after the first three months (negotiable for the right candidate) Monday 8.00am -5.00pm Tuesday 8.00am -5.00pm Friday 8.00am -5.00pm Initially for the first 2 days it would be a Mon and either a Tues or Fri. An ideal nanny would be experienced, warm, calm and nurturing. A nanny that is friendly and is happy, playful and interested to actively engage with the baby which will help the baby’s growth and development . The family is looking for someone who is honest, safe and responsible and is able to care for the baby throughout the day. Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/new born babies (1 and under) is highly important for this role. The nanny must be comfortable with at least 1 parent working from home . The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows – To care for the baby Follow the baby’s routine Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby development. Take the baby out for walks or to activities Assist with light household duties, keeping main areas clean and tidy, quick vacuum, mop and unloading/stacking dishwasher, child laundry, tidy of toys/babies room- Any extra assistance you can provide the family will be greatly appreciated. The family’s expectations from their nanny are – 5 years experience as a nanny or working in child care Childcare qualification preferred Young baby experience Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one) Have a current Working with Children’s Check Display strong communication skills and speak English.
