RTO LEARNING AND DESIGN COORDINATOR About the Australian Trade Training College: Australian Trade Training College is a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO) across QLD. We deliver a variety of Qualifications and short courses including Certificate I level to Diplomas under Apprenticeship/Traineeship arrangements, VETiS (Vocational Education and Training in Schools) and Fee for Service. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced learning and design coordinator to join our Training Services team full-time. If you have a wealth of experience with leading teams, instructional design,learning management systems, specifically aXcelerate and you have passion to move learning programs and resources into the new age of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality, we want to hear from you About the role: The Learning and Design Coordinator leads the Resource Development team to develop high quality learning and assessment resources in our aXcelerate Learning Management system (LMS) This role requires strong leadership, project management and VET design and development experience utilizing aXcelerate LMS to effectively supervise and support the day to day priorities of the colleges training and assessment resources for its cohorts. You will specifically bring to the role your extensive experience in implementing, maintaining and improving aXcelerate Turbo Learning Management Systems. You’re an instructional designer by trade and have a passion for the highest quality learning and assessment content. You will hold formal qualifications in VET Design and Development and have or willing to obtain experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) The role requires strong working relationships and effective communication links with clients, users, management and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the resources and development team consistently provides excellence in customer service and quality resources . You also will have the capability to perform any other duties the employer may assign to you, having regard to your skills, training and experience. This position will be based at our Brendale Campus. This is a permanent full time hybrid work model with scheduled Campus and work from home days available upon approval. Key Performance Areas; Ability to develop and maintain a team culture of high performance and high staff satisfaction levels Demonstrated people management skills that assist and enable your team to meet and exceed individual and business unit goals Effective leadership of your team of Resources Development staff to achieve identified priorities, producing quality resources that meet cohort and training package requirements Skills to Support to the RTO Services Manager to recruit staff and retain quality staff Identify opportunities and lead the development of our e-learning platforms to include AI,VR & AR for assessment and learning Skills to create and upload learning material and valid assessment tools including RPL assessments (including mapping guides) for a variety of training packages in the LMS Demonstrate exceptional proof-reading skills and accuracy Working with the Compliance team to, arrange and participate with the team in effective regular review (validation) meetings. Participate in assessment validation activities with Department HOD’s and Trainers. Proactively and cooperatively work with industry stakeholders, trainers and management in the continuous improvement of learning and assessment materials, including training and assessment strategies. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment is maintained.
