The Opportunity In this role you will be part of the engineering team with a focus on Industrial applications, specifically mining and be the technical lead, supporting the sales go to market activities from the Perth Office. As such, this role will report to the Sales Director with dotted line to the Engineering Manager. As part of this team, you will be required to contribute with knowledge and experience on the whole life cycle of projects, including concept and detailed design, calculations, implementation, and operation. Focusing on our expansive range of AC and DC power solutions for Industrial, Mining, Telecommunications and Data Center, utilized in critical power infrastructure. Also, as part of this role, you are required to contribute technical support to internal and external stakeholders including manufacturing, operation, and service team but most importantly clients. This individual will be expected to have and maintain a high level of technical electrical knowledge as well as relevant products and their application within industrial, telecom and Data Centre. For this position it is required to be fully versed in local and international standards as well as industry best practices. Main Responsibilities This role will provide technical expertise to support and facilitate the sale of Eltek and Delta Electronics solutions. This position is responsible for: Provide technical support on developing Eltek / Delta products portfolio including guidelines for R&D team, local market search, review competitions, etc. Producing and validating the infrastructure design and application of Eltek / Delta products within a total solution. Undertake power infrastructure detailed calculation and sizing. Prepare design documentation, including concept and detail design drawings and sketches, specifications, and reports. Developing documentation for Eltek / Delta solutions, products, and design. Providing technical support for the Eltek services team during the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance periods. Supporting commissioning team for implementation of Eltek / Delta solutions including FAT and integrated systems test (IST). Controlling the technical specification of 3rd Party products for Eltek / Delta solutions and providing compliance statement. Additional Responsibilities: Assist engineering and project management staff with day-to-day project functions, as needed, including researching product specifications, contacting vendors, and other support functions as needed. Proactively support the sales effort which will include sales visits to customers and consultants and technical presentations. Work as part of a collaborative team to balance workloads and ensure quality deliverables are produced on time. Adhere to company practices, policies and procedures. Qualifications Minimum 5 years local design experience on power infrastructure in Mining, Industrial and/or telecommunication mission critical projects. Vast experience with DC and AC critical power products and systems Solid understanding of AS/NZS standards and BCA (NCC) Familiar with IEC, EN, and ASHRAE standards. Technical/ Professional skills: Fluent in AutoCAD and Visio 3D modelling and drafting (desired) PowerCAD or similar tools (desired) CFD modelling (desired) Personal skills (traits, attributes): Strong verbal and written communication Must be a team player with a consultative style Ability to conduct presentations for different audiences Excellent relationship management skills Good time management Good organizational skills Want to apply?
