Industrial Electrician — Rooty Hill, Blacktown Area

About the role Looking for your next challenge? Infrabuild Steel has an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focussed Electrical Tradesperson to join our dynamic team at Rooty Hill in a fast paced yet community focussed manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will work as part of a team to execute planned preventive and breakdown maintenance throughout the plant. You will also be responsible for; • Maintenance of equipment, operations checks and routine inspections • Project work including new equipment installation • Fault finding, breakdown and repairs • Continual monitoring of the plant with a focus on process optimisation and improvement • Day shift position, with shift work relief as per business needs Permanent, full time role, working 4x 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday; Tuesday to Friday with a view to a rotating shift position once initial training has been completed. About your experience If you are someone who has a solid work ethic, takes initiative, enjoys problem solving and are computer literate. You will also have: • An Electrical NSW trade qualification, either supervisors or contractors • Experience in breakdown fault finding, repair and maintenance in a similar industry • Genuine interest & willingness to learn & excel in the Steel industry • Strong communication, time management & organisational skills • Ability to work in a team environment that puts people and safety first Experience in the following, ideally within a heavy industry, highly regarded: • Post trade courses • PLC control systems • AC and DC variable speed drives • SAP or equivalent • HMI and Scada About our team InfraBuild’s Steel Manufacturing business unit operates world-class state-of-the-art Steelmaking facilities in Sydney, Newcastle & Melbourne.
