About our Team As a Customer Service Attendant / Customer Service Attendant (Relief) you will play an integral role in providing world-class customer service onboard our long-distance train services. As this role is based in Townsville, you will primarily work on board our Spirit of Queensland (Townsville to Cairns / Brisbane) and our Inlander (Townsville to Mt Isa) services where you can expect to be away for 2-3 days at any given time. Your direct line manager will be the Operation Coordinator Townsville however whilst working on board you will be directed by the Passenger Services Supervisor or the Passenger Services Coordinator as you work closely with 4-5 other team members consisting of other Customer Service Attendants or Passenger Attendants. Roles / Hours: We are currently recruiting the following opportunities: Customer Service Attendant – permanent full-time opportunity where you will be on a linked rotating roster. Customer Service Attendant (Relief) – permanent full-time opportunity which is not on a linked roster where you will find out your roster 1 week in advance. If you are not rostered to work on board the train you will assist with Station Assistant duties (customer service and complete general cleaning duties) at the Townsville station. In both opportunities, you will typically work between the hours of 0700 to 1630 however flexibility is required as the hours are dependent on business needs. You can also expect to work weekends and public holidays when required. What Queensland Rail has to offer The base annual salary is $64,500 12.75% super. However, after including applicable allowances (travel, away from home, meals, weekend and public holiday work) a Customer Service Attendant / Customer Service Attendant (Relief) could earn up to approximately $90,000 per year 12.75% super. In addition to this you will have: Previous experience providing face to face customer service.
