Senior Legal Counsel - Treasury — The Rocks, Sydney

Legal Counsel required for non bank lender. Need Treasury background & Securitisation experience. 12 mth fixed contract. Home Loans Asset Finance This well regarded non bank lender who specialise in Home Loan and Asset Finance products has had significant growth in the last 10 years implementing many key changes to make it the market leader in its sector. Reporting to the General Counsel you will be part of an inhouse legal team that works with some of the best people in the market. This role has plenty of scope to support your continued growth in a legal counsel role within the lucrative non bank lender sector. This position is a 12 month fixed term contract with a focus on assisting the Treasury team in the management, negotiation and execution of various funding arrangements including securitisation, private placements, syndicated facilities, corporate facilities and bond issuance. This role will be to use your legal and transaction background to provide support to the Treasurer and General Counsel reviewing and executing general legal documents but not limited to Responsibilities include: Within the Treasury team be part of transaction management team drafting, reviewing and implementing securitisation transaction Transaction documentation for new and existing syndicated and corporate facilities Assist in the implementation of transactions related to private placements Assist and manage external counsel on transactions Drafting documents and agreements including NDAs, ISDAs and related documents Assist GC with any other requirements to support commercial legal advice and support to Treasury team Key to this role will be your ability to work in an in house legal environment, working closely with key stakeholders and be a self starter. This is an opportunity to use your legal background preferably from within the Mortgages, personal loans and Asset Finance. Knowledge of Treasury transactions and securitisation an advantage The successful candidate will be from a either a financial services inhouse role or stepping out of legal practice. You will also have excellent written and communication skills, be able to work under your own initiative and are results driven. A knowledge base in Treasury required. You also need to be able to work and engage with senior stakeholders in the business and externally.
