Due to continued strong growth in our Western Region, we are looking to complement our team with the addition of an experienced D&C Interface Manager. This is a senior role responsible for supporting regional design teams consisting of internal resources and external consultants. You will effectively control and manage all engineering and design aspects of our infrastructure projects to ensure the design meets all technical, contractual, commercial, and program deliverables aspects. Key accountabilities for the position will be: Lead all engineering and design activities on tenders and projects in delivery, being responsible for scope, program, budget, and contract negotiations. Prepare consultants' briefs, seek fee proposals, and manage the process of consultants' selection. Manage budget, fee estimates, and commercial arrangements with design consultants to assess variations and scope changes identifying budget overruns and recommending mitigation strategies. Manage the design process to ensure that all detail design is compliant with the parameters of the Cost Plan and maximise the Project's profit potential. Establish, manage, and maintain a realistic design program and deliverables to satisfy contract, procurement, and construction requirements by monitoring progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems, and ensuring the timely production of design reporting information as required. Manage the design-related RFI's, NCR's, design change, and closure of comments between stakeholders including Design and Construction Delivery teams. Required Skills and Competencies Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline, combined with significant and demonstrable EPC experience. Considerable demonstrated experience in a similar position working for or managing design consultants within EPC, D&C, and PPP projects.
