About you As a Junior HSIE Teacher, you will be an energetic and innovative educator with a distinct focus on quality education and a commitment to enhancing 21st-century pedagogy. You will be joining our innovative HSIE department in a temporary, full-time position to start ASAP until the end of the year with permanency a possibility at the end of this contract. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate: the ability to teach Junior HSIE with a passion for learning and teaching a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church a commitment to academic excellence and sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy, including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning commitment to a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data working knowledge and understanding of education appropriate for the stage/s for which this role is responsible a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff the capacity to empower students to be independent and creative learners a willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the College. You will have attained: a tertiary qualification in education eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
