Junior Graphic Designer — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

This is a newly created position for a junior graphic designer ( someone straight out of university or with 1 to 2 years of working experience), with a slight cross over into marketing. You will oversee general marketing duties as well as have a very hands on approach in the graphic design side of things. You will be guided by the Marketing Lead and supported by a small but highly motivated team. This role is located in the South East of Melbourne in Carrum Downs. They aim to create an office culture where people want to be at work and love what they do. Description Reporting to the Marketing and Product lead, you will be responsible for predominantly looking after the company's main account, Bunnings. Main responsibilities are (but are not limited to) Strong use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign software for majority of the work required Basic photo editing skills - touch-up, colour enhancing etc (Adobe skills) Resizing imagery as required for various platforms and uses - socials/web Making artwork changes to existing packaging Creating print ready files Creating and working with die lines for overseas manufacturing for package design Creating packaging mock-ups and present design concepts to stakeholders for feedback and approval Work with external photographer to create visually appealing lifestyle images for online use Creating ascetically pleasing Powerpoint presentations for the sales team Adhere to multiple brand guidelines Experience in website upkeep would be an advantage but not essential Social media coordination Profile As well as having a dynamic attitude and a genuine interest in colleague interaction, the successful candidate will look like: Demonstrated knowledge of using Adobe Creative Suite (includes Photoshop, illustrator, and in-design). The ability to work in a fast-paced, often reactive environment is imperative A Bachelor Degree in marketing or similar field 1-2 years of junior experience would be advantageous but not essential Experience/understanding of Pantone swatches Experience in WordPress (online website software) considered advantageous but not essential Strong communication skills - with both internal and external stakeholders Being a team player who can cross-collaborate well Any experience working with Bunnings would be highly advantageous Job Offer This unique opportunity will be an invaluable learning experience to be part of the further growth story of an already successful company.
