Independent Public School - North Metropolitan Education Region Dianella Heights Primary School Teacher - Primary 00006150 Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH898736 This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency We are seeking Upper Primary (Year 3 to Year 6) applicants who are motivated, innovative, and possess high quality teaching skills. Ideally, they will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes, and participate in collaborative planning and instructional coaching. We seek teachers who will inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging, and supportive classrooms. Applicants will ideally possess the ability to build strong and valuable relationships with students, staff, and the school community. They will ideally exhibit proactive strategies to support and improve student behaviour and engagement, to enable positive outcomes in and out of the classroom. The successful applicant should be able to display how they have employed evidence-based teaching practices to significantly improve student outcomes. This should include the use of explicit instruction, and the ability to transfer student knowledge from short to long-term memory through effective teaching. Ideal, but not essential, would be knowledge in our whole-school priorities and evidence-based teaching programs and practices, such as: Aussie Optimism, Reflective Behaviours, Special Education Needs Planning, Response to Intervention, Engagement Norms, The Science of Reading, Talk for Writing, Sounds-Write, and Spelling Mastery. Applicants possessing a strong capacity to plan, present, and assess differentiated, challenging, and engaging programs, and have a thorough understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum will be highly regarded. Furthermore, they should be able to display how they have used data-informed practice to improve academic and socio-emotional student outcomes.
