Opportunity Are you good at building relationships, customer focused, have a proven track record in sales and a passion for building and construction? We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative with trade sales experience that is ready to take the next step in their career. Based at our Derrimut depot, you will be required to engage our valued existing customers and attract new customers to grow sales and share throughout Geelong, the South West Coast, Ballarat, the Central Highlands, Bendigo and surrounds. Responsibilities • Achieve monthly sales targets and expand market share. • Develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting. • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new trade customers. • Work to an on the road call cycle with associated reporting and follow up. • Assist customers with product enquiries, quotations, product specification, and conversion of quotes to orders. • Timely communication of product releases, product specification, service improvements, delivery lead-times, promotions, and customer product training. • Remain informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to drive business growth. • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance. • Overnight travel may be required. Requirements • Proven experience in sales prospecting and lead generation. • Self-motivated and results orientated, with a drive to achieve sales goals. • Ability to build rapport and trust with customers and establish long term relationships. • Industry experience, building materials or construction industry preferred, but not essential. • Excellent communication skills. • Problem solving ability. • Good time management and the ability to prioritise. • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory (including regional locations).
