Firefly provides an online learning space for students and teachers Position Overview Veracross is seeking a self-motivated, passionate, and highly collaborative Sales Engineer to join our successful sales team. You will report to the Director, Field Sales Operations and work closely with the marketing and product teams on various projects. You will prepare for and perform demos for prospects and clients and help to complete RFPs in support of Veracross new logo and upsell Account Executives. Responsibilities Responsible for being the technical expert for Veracross products supporting schools in Asia-Pacific Responsible for preparing for, performing, and following up on product demonstrations in support of individual and team sales quotas to champions and buyers within schools interested in the Veracross solution. Responsible for qualifying the needs of the prospect during product demonstration and provide feedback to the Account Executive on Champion/Buyer technical, business needs. Ability to effectively communicate Veracross solution and value proposition across multiple buyer personas within the school. Create user personas for key personnel in the database Maintain and improve in-depth technical understanding of Veracross products. Assist with sales pursuits for our customers and prospects. Lead discovery and initial requirements gathering sessions with customers and prospects, translating key pain points into solution opportunities. Answer a variety of functional and technical questions from customers funneled through the sales team. Provide functional and technical responses to customer RFPs, RFIs and other direct requirements. Contribute to webinar series. Document all sales related information in Salesforce aligning to the Sales Process. Requirements Reside in Australia in order to provide product demonstrations to schools within, but not limited to, Australian and Asia-Pacific time zones. 3 years’ experience in software sales role in SaaS EdTech company. Demonstrated strong presentation skills to key stakeholders within prospective customers. Solid understanding and/or hands-on experience in software applications and web technologies. Experience in demonstrating accounting (finance) solutions. Can clearly demonstrate high empathy through a proven track record of being an attentive listener, thoroughly grasping customer’s needs, and quickly building rapport. Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with a variety of audiences within the organization. Salesforce experience required. Ability to juggle multiple priorities. Flexible team-player who can partner with all functions of the business, getting team members buy in and feedback with ease. Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high growth environment.
