About the opportunity As an Engineer within the System Analysis and Modelling team, you'll undertake modelling, analysis and author recommendations for high voltage transmission system developments to ensure our strategies and objectives are met. You will develop network models, perform detailed analysis, determine technical specifications and ratings for transmission system equipment, and contribute to provision of planning and operational advice. This role also encompasses the development and implementation of power systems analysis strategies and plans for longer term network developments and connections, work closely with other network service providers, and assess the feasibility of new technology to optimise cost, risk and performance. About you Experience in the analysis and development of electricity transmission systems Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, contractors, other technical experts and senior management Experience in the legislation and technical standards guiding system planning Knowledge of national and international planning standards and practices Excellent knowledge of electrical networks engineering and operations Knowledge of the energy industry Experience in performing power quality assessments for generator connections Familiar with using PSCAD, PSS/E and/or PowerFactory Experience in scripting and automation of power system analysis tools Recognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
