About the role The opportunity has arisen for a talented Design Coordinator to join their pre-construction team, working across pre construction stages. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager you will take ownership of the pre-construction design process including assisting projects from tender, early design phase through to handover to construction teams. You will have experience liaising with consultants and clients. Possessing a strong technical understanding, you will also have in-depth knowledge of the building process and deliverables. Key Responsibilities for the role Produce designs as required, including producing design or construction drawings using Revit. Working closely with consultants to produce the best design outcome across multiple disciplines. Manage multiple projects, up to $30M in value, at the same time Liaise with construction team, engineers and consultants to ensure a smooth process for construction Ensure projects are properly costed at all stages of design development to ensure they are delivered on budget Skills & experience Minimum of 3-5 years' design co-ordination experience supporting design development within the commercial or industrial sector. Open to more senior candidates from a Project Management background Tertiary qualifications in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management preferred; A good understanding of BCA and AS requirements, previous experience with construction documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to achieve effective design outcomes; Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders, including consultants and clients to ensure the succesful delivery of project through to the construction stage Culture Join a company that prides itself on having an open and collaborative culture.
