As a key player on our trade desk, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer service, utilising your product knowledge and commitment to building excellent customer relationships. Our Leichhardt branch serves as an easy way for our customers to drop in - being very close to the Sydney CBD and areas with high construction activity, we see a lot of foot traffic. The branch itself is similar to a hardware store (like Mitre 10 or Bunnings), with a Trade Desk area, and a warehouse area for material storage. Primary Purpose of Position: Assist valued customers with demonstrated product knowledge, expert advice, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Manage face-to-face customer requests in the Trade sales area, supporting both external and internal customers. Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm Key Responsibilities: Meet and greet customers, providing support for placing orders, picking up orders, and offering technical advice. Provide telephone and face-to-face support for Customer Service and Operations. Actively seek and act upon cross/up-selling opportunities to increase average invoice value in every customer interaction. Actively manage activities (e.g., returns) that can result in customer refunds. Assist with customer Service duties as required (calls and cases). Assist with the maintenance of the retail displays, ensuring all are full and visually appealing to customers. Skills and Experience: Demonstrated product knowledge and expertise in customer service (desired). Physically fit - to handle materials Experience in face-to-face customer interaction, ideally in a trade sales or similar role (desired). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
