About The Job Joining our Sales Engineering team, you'll spend most your time working with and selling solutions to our existing customer base as well as driving business development with new customers. Our focus at Alfa Laval is to be No.1 Cleantech company to help our customers meet the world's decarbonization targets to reduce CO2 emissions, develop clean energy and dramatically increase energy efficiency in all facets of industry and applications and help drive down global warming to achieve a more sustainable future. You will be part of a team that is passionate about selling our comprehensive heat exchanger range to improve our customer's processes, efficiency and reduce their energy footprint. The industries we service are varied and wide including but not limited to Mining, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Pulp & Paper and Power both in traditional and emerging technologies such as Renewable fuels and Energy Storage. This role is ideally based in Sydney or Melbourne, however we would also consider having the role based in Brisbane for the right candidate. Key Tasks Responsible for "Lead, Opportunity, Quote to order" process for new projects Maintain our CRM with all enquiries, quotes, customers, contacts and meeting reports. Gather all required technical information, project brief and drivers from customers for optimal heat exchanger designs to create the Sales proposal. Develop technical and commercial quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points. Thermal design of some heat exchangers using our proprietary programs. Actively follow up on quotations with customers to understand if the proposed value is understood and if it is matching customer needs. Support the sales team in covering all of Oceania (AU & NZ). Using Installed Base proactively look for replacement business opportunities. Work proactively and in a structured way to ensure compliance with Alfa Laval business principles and Contract terms. About You Above all, you're curious. You ask questions and you seek out the solutions. Ideally, you'll some technical acumen with an engineering background and sales/business development experience in an industrial or mechanical environment. However, we will also consider applications from candidates with good market or application experience. More important is the engineering mindset essential to identifying the challenges, needs and solutions, as well as excellent people and relationship-buildings skills. And while experience of analysing data would be an advantage, your manager can actively support you to grow your skills and knowledge in this area. To be successful here in our Engineering Sales team, you'll also be driven to deliver results. That includes having positive energy, clear customer focus, an aptitude for learning and strong networking skills.
