The core capability requirements for this role are: Administer the Service's honours and awards policies/procedures including researching and assessing nominations for awards. Advise on budget requirements and co-ordinate corporate level expenditure for honours and awards activities within the Service. Provide secretariat services and administrative support to the Honours and Awards Committee including the preparation of agenda, minutes and briefing material. Coordinate action arising from the resolutions of the Committee. Provide policy advice on issues relating to honours and awards. Provide consultancy and advisory services to the Committee, the Commissioner and the Service's senior executive members on award related matters. Coordinate award presentation ceremonies attended by the Minister, the Commissioner, senior executives and dignitaries. Prepare correspondence and documentation, such as submissions, reports, awards and letters, relating to the Service's honours and awards systems, procedures and policies. Liaise and maintain effective networks with all levels of the QPS, relevant government and non-organisations and representatives of external organisations Supervise the performance of, provide guidance to, and identify training needs for, subordinate administrative staff.
