We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join Building Engineering Team, due to strong continued growth. Deliver engineering consultancy services and detailed design services for all mechanical elements of our buildings portfolio such as Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems (HVAC) and their controls. This position has responsibility for appreciating client or project technical requirements, strong collaboration by developing solutions and leading the preparation of multi-disciplinary design documentation for the engagement and delivery for clients. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting team delivery of interesting projects through all phases, including preliminary investigations and assessments, options analyses, concept designs, detailed designs and documentation, and construction support. Direct client engagement during delivery and active involvement in winning work. Supervising and mentoring junior team members. Provide technical expertise through investigations, design, documentation and construction phase services on projects. Undertaking and managing the design and documentation of Mechanical Building Services including HVAC and their controls. What you will bring to the team: Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with 5 years' relevant experience in building services Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, National Construction Code and industry guides from AIRAH, ASHRAE and CIBSE. Exposure to range of projects, including new builds, retrofits, fitouts, for private and government sector clients. The ability to appreciate a project and the value the client seeks to derive from it and use that to engage and excite clients to win work with innovative design solutions, including a strong focus on sustainability. Strong communication, a positive mindset and drive with a passion for creativity and personal development. Ability to carry out coordinated design in the Revit environment, as well as being proficient with industry standard software (MS Office, Bluebeam, Camel, Carrier HAP or IES). Interested? Apply now.
