Client Details Our client, a leading Japanese trading company is seeking a Sales and Trade Assistant. This position will suit for an individual with strong interest in international business. We are seeking for a candidate who is keen to progress from Sales/Trade Assistant into a Sales/Trade Manager in few years time. Description The key responsibilities and duties: Coordinate logistics between domestic and international suppliers and customers, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with international regulations. Liaise with custom brokers, quarantine, 3 rd party warehouses and transportation companies. Assist with inventory management and order processing. Manage supply chain documentations such as shipping documents and import permits. Provide exceptional customer service. Assist in preparation of budget and sales forecast. Profile In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths: Tertiary or similar education in business, economics, or other similar fields. Experience in logistics or import/export/freight forwarding will be highly regarded. Work experience or knowledge in food, agriculture, steel or chemicals will be advantageous. Interest in Japanese language, business or culture will be advantageous.
